K-Sool Event in Hong Kong Showcases Korean Traditional Alcohol

A Korean traditional alcohol event, 'Taste SOOL: The First Sip', will be held at the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong from May 28 to June 1. This event aims to change the perception of Korean alcohol from low-cost and low-quality to high-quality with artisanal craftsmanship. Eight Korean brewing companies, sommeliers, and distilling experts will participate, each presenting their unique brewing philosophy and brand stories through workshops, dinners, and masterclasses. This event offers a chance to experience various Korean liquors like makgeolli (a Korean rice beverage) and Korean wine, aiming to reach Asian consumers. Fermentation Heaven, the organizer, emphasizes introducing Korean alcohol as a cultural treasure rather than just a beverage.
