Arete Quartet Sets New Milestones in Korean Chamber Music

Arete Quartet became the first Korean string quartet to win a prize at the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition, a prestigious European event held every three years. Formed in 2019, the group consists of violinists Jun Chae-an and Park Eun-joong, violist Jang Yoon-seon, and cellist Park Seong-hyun. They have won several international awards and are currently studying at the Munich Hochschule für Musik. The quartet plans to release their first album featuring Czech repertoire in November.
