The Korean National Ballet has announced the promotion of its dancer, Jo Yeon-jae, to the position of principal dancer, the highest rank in the company. Jo Yeon-jae, who joined the company in 2018 and was promoted to soloist just a year ago, has been recognized for her performances in major productions such as 'Giselle', 'Le Corsaire', 'La Bayadère', and 'Don Quixote'. She has also excelled in drama ballet like 'The Little Mermaid' and modern ballet works 'Ssss…' and 'Artifact II'. This promotion marks her ascent after seven years with the company. During the same announcement, other dancers in the company were promoted to higher ranks, showcasing a moment of advancement within the troupe.
