Yoon Soon-gil, an artist based in Hoengseong, is holding his third solo exhibition "While Blue Times Pass" at the Hoengseong Culture and Arts Center until the 30th. The exhibition features oil paintings capturing warm views of nature, humans, daily life, and landscapes from inspirations found throughout Gangwon Province and other regions in Korea. His work conveys the local people's lives through scenes of blossoming trumpet creeper flowers (known as "Neungsowa" in Korea), quiet winter valleys, elderly couples, heaps of apple boxes, and farmers harvesting rice. The works invite viewers to recall memories and appreciate the affection for local culture and art expressed through oil painting's textures and colors. Yoon, who holds leadership roles in local art associations, hopes these stories and emotions are shared and felt through his exhibition.
