As more consumers in Korea are concerned about hair loss, the retail industry is launching a variety of hair loss prevention products. Lotte Homeshopping has entered into an exclusive export agreement for its functional shampoo 'Gravity' to five countries including France and Italy. Gravity shampoo, developed by Korean startup Polyphenol Factory, includes the patented ingredient ‘LiftMax 308™’ to reduce hair loss. Another retailer, Daiso, known for its affordable pricing, is selling hair loss products that attract both locals and foreign tourists. Lifestyle beauty company Aekyung recorded a significant rise in sales with its brand 'BlackForet', which was recognized as the top choice among users in a popular Korean hair loss community. With over 10 million people affected by hair loss in Korea, the market offers promising opportunities, particularly among the younger demographic.
