Ansan City, located in South Korea, is calling for recommendations for unique local restaurants to represent the city as culinary attractions. Applications for this recognition will be accepted until next month, as the city aims to promote regional economic growth and showcase excellent dining establishments as major tourist resources. Interested restaurants must have been in operation for at least one year as of the announcement date. Franchise restaurants, coffee and alcohol specialty outlets, and those with recent food safety violations are excluded. Successful candidates will receive various benefits, including promotional support and hygiene products, and will be featured on the city’s website. Mayor Lee Min-geun expects that many hidden gems will be discovered through this initiative.
