On August 22, a showcase event was held at Glad Hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, featuring chefs known as 'Lambassadors' who created and demonstrated new dishes using premium Australian lamb. These chefs, like Lee Jeong-hyun, highlighted historical ties to lamb in Korean culture, emphasizing its roots in ancient rituals alongside fish. The event was organized by the Australian Meat Industry Council to promote the quality and eco-friendliness of Australian lamb. Notable dishes included 'Korean-style Australian Lamb Ribs' and 'Grilled Australian Lamb Ribs with Fermented Soybean Paste'. Chef Park Ga-ram won an international cooking competition with his lamb dish featuring unconventional pairings like rice puree and kimchi. The showcase aimed to foster greater acceptance and integration of Australian lamb into Korean cuisine through innovative approaches.
