The event aims to gather local citizens and those involved in tourism to pledge cooperation for attracting tourists. Performances by the traditional Korean music group 'Sorirak' and singers are scheduled. The acting mayor, Jo Il-kyo, mentioned the goal of re-establishing Asan as a leading tourist city in connection with Chungnam's regional tourism initiative. Previously, the ceremony was postponed due to a Jeju Air passenger plane incident.
