The Korea Post under the Ministry of Science and ICT is set to release commemorative stamps on October 30th, featuring four 'marine protected species'. These include corals such as Long-branched Sea Fir, Mang Sea Fir, Witch's Broom Sea Fir, and Sea Fir, which are protected due to their diminishing numbers. The stamps will be available for purchase at post offices and online. These marine organisms are considered natural monuments in Korea and are protected internationally for their scientific and economic value, making them illegal to capture or collect under regular circumstances. These diverse species are mainly found around Jeju Island and other specific marine areas in and around Korea and neighboring countries like Japan, Taiwan, and Australia.
