Yeoju City Confirms Names for Mount Hwanghak's Attractions

On October 21, Yeoju city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, announced the official names for attractions on Mount Hwanghak. The octagonal pavilion at the summit will be named 'Hwanghak-san Observatory' (san means mountain), and the pedestrian bridge crossing Route 42 will be called 'Hwanghak-san Cloud Bridge'. A survey conducted with 870 citizens showed overwhelming support for these names. Mount Hwanghak is favored for its scenic beauty, hiking trails, and forest bathing facilities, making it a popular destination. The city plans to establish these attractions as representative tourist spots.
