Shin Yun-hee, a Chuncheon-born recorder player, recently held a recital titled "Baroque Music to Listen with Your Eyes" at Irum Hall, Chuncheon National University of Education. The concert featured works such as Merula's Chaconne and Bach's Goldberg Variations, showcasing the rich resonance of Baroque music. Shin utilized various recorders like the sopranino, soprano, and alto to match the range of each piece, delivering a unique performance. The recital collaborated with Baroque violinists Kim Ji-young and Ahn So-hyun, among others. Although the venue's acoustics were somewhat limiting, Shin's interpretation of Bach's Suite No. 1 was innovative, offering a fresh perspective. The encore pieces included Paganini's Violin Sonata and "Love Theme" from the film 'Cinema Paradiso'.
