Debate in Religious Circles over Extending Retirement Age

In South Korea, religious circles are actively discussing extending the retirement age due to factors like low birth rates, aging populations, and decreased rural populations. Currently, most religious denominations have a retirement age of 70, but there's debate about extending this to 75 in some cases. This is especially relevant in rural areas where fewer pastors are available as populations decrease, so extending service terms could prevent church closures. Despite repeated debates, proposals to extend retirement age often get rejected.
