Sul Min-kyung, the associate concertmaster of Germany's Bamberg Symphony, expresses pride in encountering Korean collaborators in the classical music stronghold of Germany. Sul joined the orchestra as a second violinist in 2018 and was appointed as associate concertmaster in 2023, a role which involves assisting the concertmaster and making musical decisions. She emphasizes the importance of an 'open mind' for aspiring foreign orchestra musicians. The Bamberg Symphony will perform in Seoul on June 1, featuring violinist Kim Bomsori as a collaborator.
