Turkey Gastronomy Week Showcases Traditional and Modern Cuisine of Türkiye

From May 21 to 27, Türkiye will host its prominent gastronomy event, Türkiye Gastronomy Week. Chef Lee Yeon-bok and K-pop group MONSTA X's members Shownu and Jooheon explored Türkiye’s rich culinary landscape, tasting traditional dishes like Döner Kebab, dondurma (Turkish ice cream), midye dolma (stuffed mussels), baklava, kaymak, and kazandibi. Türkiye's cuisine blends regional ingredients and age-old cooking methods with modern flavors, attracting global food enthusiasts. The 2025 theme is 'Classic Dishes of Turkish Cuisine,' highlighting beloved home-cooked meals like lentil soup, imam bayıldı (stuffed eggplant), and manti (Turkish dumplings). Turkey's diverse food culture, with dishes from its five culinary regions, promises a rich gastronomical adventure for global travelers.
