The Korea Tourism Organization is recruiting trainees for a 'Hanok Accommodation Service Specialist' program until June 8. This initiative aims to meet the workforce demand in the 'Hanok Hotel' industry, which combines the beauty of traditional Korean hanok (traditional Korean house) architecture with premium services. The training, which is 50 hours long, will cover various aspects of accommodation services and will be held from June 16 to 30 at the organization's main office in Wonju. Trainees who complete the program will have job opportunities, including at The Hanok Heritage House Hotel, which won the 2024 Versailles Architecture Award in the hotel category. The program is free and open to individuals aged 45–64, particularly targeting mid-aged or experienced women seeking new career opportunities.
