Gunpo Cultural Foundation Hosts Happy Concert with Sejong Gugak Orchestra

The Gunpo Cultural Foundation, in collaboration with the resident Sejong Gugak Orchestra, will host the '2025 Happy Concert - Enjoy Together, Yeominrak' on May 24th at Gunpo Culture and Art Center. Celebrating the National Gugak Day (June 5th), the concert will feature original compositions voted highly by audiences. The program includes diverse performances such as the gayageum concerto 'Kim Jukpa-ryu Gayageum Sanjo Concerto', the piece 'Jar-yong, Parting the Waves' by vocalist Lee Bong-geun, and the saxophone concerto 'Golden Notes' combining jazz and electronic beats. Conducted by Park Ho-seong and moderated by music critic Yoon Jung-kang, the event offers insights into the creative process through brief interviews with composers and performers.
