Traveling back from the Pamir Plateau to Kashgar, the travelers faced congestion due to many tourist vehicles on the road. In Kashgar, home to many Uyghur people, they hoped to visit the old town and have a local meal, but were restricted due to regulations requiring approval from authorities. They continued their journey through the Tian Shan Mountains and plateau, discussing the strict regulations in China. Historical accounts of Uyghur struggles for independence and their rich cultural heritage were also reflected upon. The journey proceeded through beautiful landscapes, characteristic of the region's diverse ethnic groups, leading towards Kyrgyzstan. This experience, filled with delays at border checkpoints, exemplified a challenging, yet breathtaking cross-country drive. The travelers appreciated the natural beauty and peacefulness offered by the vast, unspoiled landscapes of the Tian Shan Plateau, filling their drive with a sense of tranquility and reflection in this remote part of Central Asia.
