Seoul is currently facing a shortage of large concert venues, creating challenges for hosting major performances by top artists, including K-pop acts. While cities like New York, Paris, and Tokyo feature prominently in world tours, Seoul lacks enough large venues to attract similar large-scale concerts. This has led bands like Coldplay to perform in nearby cities such as Goyang instead. With the main venues under construction or awaiting completion until 2027, Seoul risks losing out on both prestigious performances and potential tourism influx from neighboring countries.
