Lotte Mart has opened its first Korean food specialty store in Singapore, located in the largest retailer's discount department store, NTUC FairPrice Extra at VivoCity. This marks Lotte Mart's expansion into a new Southeast Asian market for the first time in 17 years since entering Indonesia and Vietnam. The store features a 'shop-in-shop' format, showcasing over 100 private brand (PB) products including tteokbokki, gimbap, and dakgangjeong, a variety of Korean foods, in conjunction with the 'Yorihada Kitchen,' which offers freshly prepared dishes. Lotte Mart plans to distribute its products across more than 100 FairPrice stores throughout Singapore. This strategic move aims to establish a strong K-Food presence in Singapore and further expand PB exports across Southeast Asia.
