For the first time, a Korean art museum, Savina Museum of Contemporary Art, has launched an exhibition in Nigeria at the Nike Art Gallery, featuring 'K-Hanbok: A Fusion of Art and Tradition'. This exhibition presents 33 works that reimagine traditional Korean clothing (Hanbok) using modern art techniques. The opening event included a fashion performance showcasing traditional clothing from both Korea and Nigeria, attended by Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, Kim Pan-kyu, and other dignitaries. The exhibition highlights the growing K-culture interest in Africa, presenting Hanbok's aesthetic and cultural significance through various art forms. It is organized by the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange and supported by Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, available until the end of the month.
