High Demand for Expensive Travel Packages Among 50s and 60s in South Korea

In South Korea, luxury travel packages marketed toward the affluent 50-60 age group are seeing significant sales. A notable case is Hyundai Home Shopping's broadcast of a 'South America Luxury Package' tour encompassing Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru for approximately 27-29 million KRW ($23,000-$24,000 USD), which achieved sales 16 times its target. This interest mainly comes from consumers tired of budget travel options, with a preference for premium and transparent pricing models ('No Options, No Shopping'). Other high-demand destinations include the Arctic, France, and Alaska, with packages often selling out quickly through home shopping platforms.
