The Hantan River Geosites Trail in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province has been named one of 'Korea's 100 Must-Visit Tourist Spots for 2025-2026' by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization. This selection highlights must-visit locations around Korea biennially. The trail features a scenic walking path along towering cliffs and has attracted over two million visitors since its opening in November 2021. Local officials aim to explore new tourism trends and increase the number of long-stay visitors.
