Cosmax, a global cosmetic ODM (Original Development Manufacturing) company, announced record-breaking first-quarter sales of 588.6 billion KRW, marking an 11.7% increase compared to the previous year. The growth was largely driven by its Korean unit leading the market for high-functionality products like PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide, a skincare ingredient known for its regenerative effects). Southeast Asian units in Indonesia and Thailand also saw remarkable growth, with sales increasing by 152% in Thailand due to a surge in sun care products. Cosmax is expanding its production capabilities globally to sustain this growth, including building new factories in Thailand and Indonesia. Their Chinese and American units experienced varying performances due to market recovery and delayed customer activations, respectively. Cosmax plans further expansion to increase annual production capacity, aiming to reinforce its position as the world's leading cosmetic ODM company.
