The World Ramen Festival in Gijang-gun, Busan, has been criticized for poor management and was reported for illegally operating some food facilities without permits. Local authorities filed a complaint against the festival operator, Hope Boat, over violations of food hygiene laws. The festival, held from October 2-11, claimed to feature over 2200 ramen brands from 15 countries but disappointed visitors due to lack of ramen availability and facilities issues.
