Stephen Schwartz is a renowned composer and lyricist who has gained prominence in both musicals and film. Born in New York in 1948, Schwartz made his debut with successful musicals 'Pippin' and 'Godspell' at the age of 26, establishing himself as a prodigy. He expanded his repertoire into films, composing for Disney animations such as 'Pocahontas', 'Hunchback of Notre Dame', and 'Prince of Egypt', garnering critical acclaim. Schwartz has won three Oscars and four Grammys. His most beloved work is the music he composed for the musical 'Wicked', particularly songs like 'Defying Gravity', 'Popular', and 'For Good'. 'Wicked', which portrays the friendship between green witch Elphaba and blonde witch Glinda, will be showcased again in Seoul in July, followed by performances in Busan, and Daegu.
