Inaugural Lee Ae-Joo Dance Culture Award Winners Announced

The Lee Ae-Joo Cultural Foundation held the first 'Lee Ae-Joo Dance Culture Awards' on October 10 at Moran Park Cemetery in Gyeonggi-do. The awards honor the late Lee Ae-Joo's esteemed dance philosophy and passionate practice. Kim Yeon-Jeong, vice president of the Lee Ae-Joo Traditional Dance Society and designated Successor of Seungmu (a Korean traditional dance), won in the 'Traditional Transmission' category. Jang Soon-Hyang, the inaugural chairperson of the Korea National Dance Association and designated Successor of Salpuri Dance (a Korean traditional dance), won in the 'Contemporary Creation' category. Each winner received a trophy and a prize of 10 million KRW.
