The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra will host a concert titled "2025 Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra: Debussy and Ravel" on May 15-16 at the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Ravel's birth and the 50th anniversary of Shostakovich's passing. Noted conductor Hugh Wolff from France will be leading the orchestra, with internationally acclaimed violinist Alena Baeva, who has won several major competitions, performing alongside. The concert will feature Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 1, a masterpiece of 20th-century violin concertos, as well as pieces by French composers Ravel and Debussy, showcasing rich orchestration and dramatic violin techniques. Tickets can be purchased via the Seoul Philharmonic's website, with discounts available for members.
