Starbucks Extends Operating Hours to 10 PM at 80% of Stores

Starbucks Korea has announced plans to extend the operating hours of 80% of its stores until 10 PM by mid-month. This decision comes as part of an effort to normalize store hours, which were reduced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, about 50% of stores operate until 10 PM, while some close as early as 7 or 8 PM depending on location. The extension follows a successful 'Good Evening Event' that increased late-hour patronage and sales of decaffeinated and caffeine-free drinks, which are offered at discounts after 5 PM. Starbucks aims to reinforce its role as a 'third place' for customers to relax and enjoy time, particularly as summer approaches and the demand for beverages rises.
