The National Ballet of Korea has premiered 'The Lady of Camellias' in Asia, a work that established Kang Sue-jin as a renowned figure in ballet. The ballet, created by legendary choreographer John Neumeier, is based on the French novel 'La Dame aux Camélias' by Alexandre Dumas fils. Kang Sue-jin had previously been awarded the prestigious 'Benois de la Danse' for her performance in the ballet. The story portrays the tragic love between the courtesan Marguerite and the nobleman Armand in Paris. The performance is structured in three acts and highlights the passionate 'pas de deux' between the main characters. The show runs at the Seoul Arts Center until the 11th.
