In celebration of the 300th anniversary of Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons', Gangneung, a city in South Korea, hosts an extraordinary concert that combines Gugak (traditional Korean music), Western classical music, and media art. This concert features performances by the Gangwon Provincial Gugak Orchestra and Gangneung City Symphony Orchestra. For the first part, the Gugak Orchestra presents pieces inspired by Korea's four seasons, including traditional music paired with modern sensibilities. Renowned haegeum (a Korean string instrument) player Kang Eun-il, known for transcending genres, performs alongside other artists. The second part showcases Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons', enriched by media art that merges visual elements of Gangneung's nature with the music, creating a multi-sensory experience. This unique event, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism along with local institutions, is a celebration of culture and the arts.
