Unique Memories Enveloped in Ordinary Scenes: Shin Eun-sook's Solo Exhibition in Wonju

Shin Eun-sook, an artist based in Wonju but originally from Yangyang, is showcasing her solo exhibition at the Hanji Theme Park's second exhibition hall until November 13th. Under the theme 'Poetry, Painting - When we go there', she captures the unique essence found in everyday locations through oil paintings. Though the scenes like Wonju's Shinlim Station, familiar urban landscapes, and shimmering rivers may appear ordinary, they carry personal meanings if perceived through one's memories. Shin emphasizes the enrichment of these commonplace areas by layering memories onto them. Additionally, Shin debuted as a poet in 2013 and has published books intertwining poetry and oil paintings, which have gained appreciation from the audience.
