Takács Quartet's 50th Anniversary and Their Artistic Journey

The Takács Quartet, a world-renowned string quartet, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Established in 1975, the quartet includes original member András Fejér (cello) and recently joined Korean-American violist Richard Yongjae O'Neill. Known for their dedication to creating immersive and lively music through constant discussion and experimentation, the quartet will perform in Seoul's Arts Center on November 20th. The performance will feature works by Haydn, Ravel, and Hindemith, showcasing their broad range and deep emotional impact. Soprano Park Hye-sang will join the quartet on stage. Fejér emphasizes their continuous research into the musical and historical backgrounds of their pieces to deliver more convincing performances.
