Lee Sang-eun, a celebrated ballerina from the English National Ballet, returns to Korea as a guest dancer with the Seoul Ballet Company, performing in 'Walking Mad' by choreographer Johan Inger. The performance will take place at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts from May 9 to 18, alongside another piece titled 'Bliss'. Lee Sang-eun first joined the Universal Ballet Company after being inspired at age ten by 'The Nutcracker'. Having moved to Europe in 2005, Lee spent two decades in various ballet companies abroad. This marks her first contemporary full-length work for the Korean audience. The Seoul Ballet Company sees a great match in Lee Sang-eun with their contemporary dance identity and was eager to have her perform with them. Inger's works, known for their rich depiction of human emotions and experiences, resonate with universal themes that are relatable to all.
