The Korea Antique Association is hosting a special exhibition titled '1971 Goyo - Jamokryun' from November 9-12 at Gallery Insa1010 in Seoul. The exhibition aims to reinterpret the primal beauty of Korean antiques with a modern sensibility, reflecting the association's founding year, 1971, in its title. The show features antique artifacts such as a 10-panel embroidered folding screen and a Baekjaho (white porcelain jar), alongside modern designer furniture and objects to showcase how antiques can harmoniously fit into contemporary living spaces. The exhibition is directed by Yang Tae-in of Atelier Taein, aiming to attract the younger MZ generation with a conceptual and lifestyle-oriented approach. The exhibition also involves the vintage ceramic brand 'Oja Craft' to create an aesthetic fusion with antiques. This initiative is to make Korean antiques more approachable to younger audiences and to highlight their place in everyday life.
