Seoul Launches Meal Kits of Popular Traditional Market Dishes

Seoul city, in collaboration with the food company Hyundai Green Food and the web portal Naver, is developing meal kits (easy-to-cook sets) featuring popular dishes from traditional markets. This initiative aims to make these traditional flavors accessible at home. Since 2023, 18 different meal kits have been released, recording cumulative sales of 977 million KRW. Starting September, these meal kits will be sold nationwide through Hyundai department stores and online platforms. The process includes citizen participation for recommending beloved market dishes, aiming to enhance local economic activity and awareness of traditional markets through viral marketing efforts.
