The Broadway performance of the South Korean musical 'Maybe Happy Ending' has been nominated in 10 categories at the 78th Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Direction, and Best Actor for Darren Criss. It is also nominated for multiple categories at the Drama League Awards. The musical, set in future Seoul, tells the story of 'helper bots' Oliver and Claire who fall in love. After premiering in Korea in 2016, it opened in New York's Belasco Theatre in November and has been well-received by local audiences, achieving almost sold-out performances. Due to its popularity, the show has been extended until January 17. Korean company NHN Link, which invested in the musical, expressed their delight at the nominations and plans for a 10th-anniversary performance in South Korea in October.
