In Korea, a group of volunteers converged at Yongin Tierheim, an animal shelter, to help take care of rescued dogs. Initiated by Four Paws and Paw in Hand, volunteers gathered from across the country to clean kennels and walk the dogs. Many were motivated by their own experiences of losing pets to participate in this healing activity, known as overcoming 'pet loss'. The shelter, modeled after Germany's no-kill Tierheim, aims to save dogs from euthanasia by promoting adoption both domestically and overseas.
