In Korea, vegan beauty products are gaining popularity among younger generations, particularly in luxury beauty brands like Hourglass, which is distributed by Shinsegae International. They have recently launched new shades of their best-selling Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm, known for its glossy, vibrant look. Vegan beauty products appeal as they are free from animal-derived ingredients such as carmine, which is traditionally used in red makeup products. The new Red 0 shade is a 100% vegan red, developed over three years by Hourglass. Vegan beauty has become mainstream and will continue expanding in the Korean market, with new vegan product lines being introduced. A pop-up store will open at Shinsegae Department Store in Centum City, offering various promotional gifts based on purchase amounts.
