Acclaimed Korean artist Do Ho Suh has captivated audiences with his major solo exhibition titled 'The Genesis Exhibition: Suh Do Ho: Walk the House' at London's Tate Modern. The exhibition, representing a partnership between Genesis and Tate Modern, explores the relationship between architecture, memory, and identity. Suh has recreated the 'houses' in which he lived in Seoul, New York, and London, using materials like fabric, wire, and paper. Inspired by the traditional Korean concept of Hanok (a type of traditional Korean house known for its modular and reconfigurable structure), 'Walk the House' invites visitors to 'walk' through Suh's memories, experiencing space as a vessel of movement, migration, and emotion. Highlights include intricate installations depicting Suh's London residence in silk and a large sculpture connecting his residences in six cities. Do Ho Suh is recognized for his transformative public art installations, including 'Bridging Home, London', which featured a Hanok on a footbridge in London in 2018. The exhibition runs through October 19th.
