The 13th annual exhibition by the Chuncheon Buddhist Art Association has opened at the Chuncheon Gallery and will run until the 30th, celebrating Buddha's birthday (Buddha's birthday, also known as "Bucheonim Osin Nal", is a significant cultural event in Korea). Organized by the Chuncheon Buddhist Art Association, the exhibition features works by 20 local artists such as Bak Mu-suk, Lee Sang-don, Jo Byeong-guk, and Cha Jae-woon, who express their emotions through ink and watercolor, inspired by nature. Highlights include works representing natural elements from the Gangwon region, including Mount Seorak and Cheongpyeong Temple. Notable pieces showcase different themes like winter depicted in oil paintings by artist Kim Hyeon-cheol, Korean script in Lee Sang-don's work, and birch forests by Jo Byeong-guk. Chairman Shin Cheol-gyun hopes the exhibition provides comfort during turbulent societal times through Buddhist art.
