Sang Eun-Lee, a renowned ballet dancer standing at 181 cm, celebrates her 20th debut anniversary by performing in South Korea. After a successful career with Germany's Dresden Semperoper Ballet, she joined the English National Ballet in 2023 following an offer from Aaron Watkin, the new artistic director there. Lee is participating in the Seoul Ballet Theatre's contemporary ballet piece, 'Walking Mad', from May 9-18 at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts. Known for her contemporary ballet expertise, Lee's presence in the Seoul Ballet is expected to inspire fellow dancers and elevate performance quality. Her extensive career, without major injuries, involved collaborations with leading choreographers such as William Forsythe—whom she cites as a significant influence—and David Dawson. Lee's persistence and foundational skills are credited as keys to her sustained success in dance.
