BMW Korea Accelerates Electric Vehicle Market Strategy

BMW Korea is enhancing its presence in the electric vehicle (EV) market by expanding its lineup and charging infrastructure. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, BMW introduced the 'BMW BEV Membership,' Korea’s first EV driving membership program, offering access to over 230 electric models. The ‘My BMW’ app now includes a 'BEV Community' for EV owners to facilitate interaction and information sharing. BMW is also growing its charging network, planning to install 600 new chargers nationwide, reaching a total of 3000. The 'BMW Driving Center' in Incheon (a city near Seoul), visited by 1.66 million people since its opening, offers a family-friendly space for experiencing EVs, with opportunities for track and drift experiences, subject to prior reservation. Educational programs for children and eco-friendly facilities make it an attractive location for family outings. In May, special programs will be available for all ages in celebration of Family Month and the holiday season in Korea.
