The Joseon Tongsinsa Festival has begun on April 25th and will take place throughout Busan for three days. Organized by the Busan Cultural Foundation, the festival revolves around the theme 'Together for Tomorrow' and includes events at various locations such as Bukhang Waterside Park and Gwangbok-ro. A highlight of the festival is the historical parade reenactment on April 26th, where around 500 participants connect the past departure point of the Joseon Tongsinsa and the current international passenger ship departure location. The parade honors figures like the late Lee Soo-hyun, who heroically saved a Japanese person in 2001. Additionally, a ceremony for safe sailing at Beomeosa Temple and the Joseon Tongsinsa ship departure ceremony at Yongho Starlight Park will take place on April 27th. The ship intends to reenact the sea route between Busan and Osaka for the 2025 Osaka Expo. The festival also features a symposium by the Joseon Tongsinsa Society and various cultural performances.
