Artist Jo Myeong-jin's personal exhibition 'Flower Road' will run from April 29 to May 4 at the Unhyeongung Planning Exhibition Room in Seoul. This exhibition showcases new artworks in which Jo reinterprets traditional Korean folk paintings, known as Minhwa, with a modern perspective. The featured piece, 'Flower Road for You,' uses everyday modern objects to express the symbolic meaning and emotions of Minhwa. Unhyeongung itself is a historically significant site, being the residence of Heungseon Daewongun and the childhood home of King Gojong. Jo has been influential in promoting professionalism and fairness in the Minhwa art community since 2017, serving in various roles such as a judge and planning committee member at numerous art contests and exhibitions.
