The spring crab fishing season is in full swing in the Jindo region of South Korea, which accounts for 30% of the crab production in Jeollanam-do province. Around 20-30 fishing boats are catching 250-300 kg of crabs daily. Since March, 200 tons of crabs have been auctioned at the local cooperative, generating revenues of approximately 5 billion Korean Won. The Jindo area offers pristine sea conditions, making it ideal for crabs. The annual Jindo Crab Festival will be held from April 25th, featuring auctions, music, and traditional cultural experiences. This seasonal delicacy, full of flavor, is popular among food enthusiasts.
