Korean Architect Kug Hyung-gul Appointed as Director of Seoul Architecture Festival

The city of Seoul has appointed architect Kug Hyung-gul as the director of the 17th Seoul Architecture Festival, scheduled for late September. The event will take place at the Bukchon Cultural Center and aims to highlight the public value of architecture by showcasing excellent structures and innovative architectural culture in Seoul. Kug, a professor at Ewha Womans University and recipient of the 2017 Young Architect Award, will focus on the theme 'Seoul-ness: Multi-Layered City', reinterpreting Seoul's identity and regionality for the future.
