On February 12, two American climbers were stranded while ascended the Totem Pole, a famous rock formation off the coast of Tasmania, Australia. Known for its unusual shape, the Totem Pole is a popular destination for rock climbing enthusiasts worldwide. The climbers became trapped near the summit after strong winds tangled their ropes. Rescue helicopters and coast guards struggled to approach due to the weather conditions, but the Tasmanian Climber Rescue Team successfully reached and rescued the climbers early the next morning using ropes. Totem Pole stands at 65 meters with six climbing routes, graded at levels 24-27 (difficulty levels between 5.11c to 5.12c).
