Min-sol Kim, a young entrepreneur and CEO of Ananong, is passionately engaged in the traditional Korean fermented sauce business. Despite initially pursuing a teaching career, Kim shifted focus after a turning point in her life led her to the rural area of Cheongyang with her mother, who was interested in commercializing traditional Korean sauces—a craft inherited from Kim's grandmother. Embracing the cultural significance of these sauces, recently recognized by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) as an intangible cultural heritage, Kim is determined to preserve and promote their unique process and flavors. Despite initial business struggles, her determination paid off as she developed educational kits related to traditional sauce-making, winning national accolades. She continues to work with young local farmers in South Chungcheong Province to source ingredients and contribute to their stability in the farming community. Kim emphasizes the importance of pursuing one's dreams with patience and courage in the fast-paced modern world.
