Sungsimdang, a famous bakery in Daejeon, South Korea, will begin selling their summer dessert 'Mango Siru' - a mango bomb cake made with fresh mango, mango compote, and Genoise sponge - starting May 1st. The 'Siru' series cakes are known for their high-quality fruit content and better cost performance compared to expensive hotel cakes. Last year's price for this 1.8kg cake was 43,000 KRW. As a popular destination for pastry enthusiasts, Sungsimdang has seen significant growth, reaching a remarkable sales milestone as a single-brand bakery. In 2023, they recorded a revenue of 193.76 billion KRW, marking a 56% increase from the previous year. They operate 16 stores nationwide.
