Sancheong County in South Korea is implementing various policies to revitalize its tourism industry and overcome damages from a recent large wildfire. The 'Stay a Night in Sancheong' program offers refunds of up to 50% of travel expenses in local gift vouchers for tourists staying more than a night. A wellness city tour is also available to promote areas affected by wildfire. Sancheong's popular spring festival, the Hwangmaesan Azalea Festival, will be held from May 1st to 11th, featuring various activities and emergency measures in case of another fire emergency. The area's family-friendly forest experience facilities will open in May, alongside efforts to promote tourism through social media influencers.
